HELP! Skyrim, game Freezes at these two points

so I am playing Skyrim from my Hard Drive (no Disc) and whenever I tried talking to Galmar stone-fist to join the stormcloaks my game freezes and I get the 'Disc is unreadable error". I find this weird because I am not playing on a disc; so I then I started
a new game and tried join the Imperials, I was able to progress normally until I reach the Jagged Crown quest, as soon I walk up to begin the quest Hadvar talks to me and after answering his first replied the game freezes, If I try to back out of Hadvar's conversation
the I get the Disc is unreadable error". Any Help or advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

Thanks for that,it's not breaking the game for me and some performance mods that were recommended on other forums have really helped the micro stutters but the freezing is still there. Never had it with Skyrim though.

So long as there's not a problem with my X's hard drive,which it what I was really worried about,then it's all good.

 

Skyrim Freezing Constantly

Ok so my Skyrim disc is very scratched and unfortunately I never downloaded it to my hard drive, so when ever I play Skyrim it will freeze about every 20-30 Minutes, I was just wondering if the Games on Demand version freezes as often as a new disc version
or if it freezes less. Any help is much appreciated, Thanks!

Thanks for posting in the Xbox Support Forums.

Sorry to hear you're having issues while playing Skyrim.

1. First of all, try to back-up your save games. Insert a flash drive (USB) into one of your available USB-ports in your Xbox console.
   
2. On Xbox Home, go to Settings, click
   System, then select your storage device.
3. Then select Games and Apps en select Skyrim.
   
4. Select the same games you would like to keep, press on it and select the option
   Copy. Copy it to your Flash Drive.
5. Verify that the content (save games you want to keep) are stored on your flash drive.
   
6. Select the Skyrim folder and delete ALL content that is located in the Skyrim folder. Also remove the game.
   
7. Restart your Xbox Console.
8. Sign-in again. On Xbox Home, go to Settings, and then click
   Account.
9. Under Download History, search for Skyrim and press
   Download Again.
10. Wait for the download to be complete. After that, import your save games from the flash drive to your hard drive and try to play the game again.
