Help signing into xbox 360 account

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. We understand you would like to learn how to sign out of a profile from the Xbox 360. Is this correct? Are you currently using your own account? Is your friend's profile automatically being signed in to when
you start the console up?

You can either turn off the auto sign-in feature in the profile settings or delete the profile from the console entirely. Let us know if this helps!

you need this to sign into a 360 console or sign into a 360 profile to use 360 games on xbox one or series consoles.

Hello,you may have to sign in on the 360 virtual dashboard via your Xbox one console to do this,or sign into your account via Microsoft and view your download history,iv also included a help page to do with 360 dashboard, hope this helps.

Another option to try is to sign out of your account and then signing back in and see if it works:

To play games, even on Xbox 360, it has been required that you're signed into an Xbox Live profile (aka Microsoft Account). It's possible that previously it was configured to automatically sign in, and you didn't realize. It's possible that the account
that had auto-signed in removed the device from their account or changed security settings, and would require reauthorization to sign in.

Now, that is speculation on what might have happened as to why you're seeing a sign in screen unexpectedly. But the point would be that previously when using the 360, there was an account/profile being used.
