    Help Registering My Xbox One Elite Controller


    Hi everyone,

    I am having trouble with my Xbox Elite controller. The right stick drifts upward. It is under warranty with Microsoft still, as it is only about 7 months old, but I can't figure out how to register it with Microsoft. It asks for a 12-character code, but
    that of the controller is 14 characters long. I just want to get this thing registered so I can get it replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Registering my elite controller

    I'm having the same problem. I want to buy an extra set of paddles (so I can use all short ones instead) but can't register my controller as it wants me to register an xbox console (which I don't have).

    Hey all.

    Sorry for the confusion, as of now the only way to register your Xbox One Elite controller through the website is by owning an Xbox One console. If you don't an Xbox One you may need to reach out to
    Phone/Chat support for assistance with setting up repairs and replacements for accessories still in warranty.

    Problem with serial number !

    i also wish to register my elite controller but get the error.

    xbox one registered ok but elite controller serial number too long so shows invalid.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Hey there!

    In order to register accessories (ie controllers) on the
    Device Support     page, you need to have your console registered first. So go ahead and register your console (even though it's not the issue currently), and then you should be able to register your Elite controller as an accessory. At that point, you should
    be able to order parts from that page as well.

    Let us know if that helps or if you still have issues. :)

    i have 5 registered xbox one consoles, but the elite controller was bought seperate, not bundleled with an xbox one.

    it will not accept the serial number from the elite controller...
