help regarding sending Elite controller for service

It's best that you send in your controller for repair, you can do this by following the steps on this support page

support.xbox.com/.../servicing-elite-controller

If you have your receipt try checking with the retailer you purchased from and see if you are able to get a replacement or refund.

If not despite previous comments, send in your controllers for repair or replacements. It's best if your console is still covered by warranty as you won't need to pay much at all or any for that matter.

SEND IN THE BARE CONTROLLER, keep the removable sticks and DPAD, as you will be sent back barebone controller.

Thanks Matty, but that doesn't resolve the issue. Already been there and it sends me to the Xbox Online Service Center, which doesn't accept the S/N of the controller.

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to the issue with the Elite Controller left thumbstick starting to drift, if you are still under the year warranty for the elite controller then you can send it in and we will replace the elite controller
for you. However, as you have stated, you've had this elite controller for years, in which case the controller would be out of warranty and we would not be able to replace the controller for you. We do not repair accessories, which include controllers of any
type.

I believe they will repair or replace the grips if you send them in for service.

You will put in a service request here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/devices
under your console. Change the category to Accessories and then under select issue type select Elite Controller. Then input your PID number from the controller and click create repair order.
