Help! Post update can not connect to wireless network.

In the middle of watching my Hulu tonight, the update screen popped up (with no option to finish watching my show) and I had to update. Post update I went to set up the wireless connection, since this update apparently wipes that out, and it gave me the
"Can't connect to your DHCP server". It recommended I unplug the modem/router (Actiontec m1424-wr f) and power down the xbox for 5 min. When I turned everything back on, the Xbox can no longer find ANY wireless networks. Prior to the update it would
pull up my network as well as 6 or 7 of my neighbor's networks as well. Now it seems as if the Xbox One wireless card isn't working. Has anybody else run into this or have a solution?

How to Configure and test your Xbox 360 wireless Internet connection

After you have connected the Xbox 360 Wireless Connecting Adapter to your original Xbox 360 console, you have to configure and test the wireless connection.

Steps to Follow

1. On your controller, press the Guide button and proceed to Settings, then choose System Settings.

2. Go to Network Settings then select the name of your wireless network.

Note: If you do not find your wireless network, go to Advanced Options and then select Specify Unlisted Network. Proceed to enter the name of your wireless network, after which you will be asked to select the security type.

3. Enter your wireless network password.

4. You will get a prompt to update your console software. Select Yes.

If you get a connection error message after these steps, you should try using the Xbox LIVE Connection Solution to fix the problem.

360 Slim Doesn't See Network

My Xbox360 Slim wont see my wireless network. Every other device in my house connects to the network flawlessly. My Xbox occasionally sees my neighbours network. To be clear, it's not that my Xbox won't connect to the network, it usually claims there are no networks to connect to. Any help?

 

Are you in quick on mode or energy save mode? If you are using quick on you really havnt shut down the console at all. Change settings to energy saving, then power down completely and unplug to be sure. Wait the 5 mins or so and restart the console. I've
gotten hung up on things as well and the standard shut down never worked for me, so I always do this type of restart if I need to fully reset my console for anything. Good luck

 

Same issue here Deaner. Power cycling, resetting router etc., nothing works.

The best way to fix this is to clear the systems cache, to do so please go to settings, select Disc & Blu-ray and at the Blu-Ray area, you will see an option called Persistent Storage, click that and then click clear, to this 4 – 5 times, after that is done,

go back to settings and select power and start up, then select the restart option.

this usually fixes the problem if not let me know and there are a few other steps we can try

Update! So I was running instant on. I unplugged the Xbox completely and let it sit overnight, came back this morning, plugged it in and it booted up fine. It didn't even ask me about wireless networks this time, just automatically connected to my network
like it used to.
