    Hello Xbox People,

    I have received a communication suspension on my account. Now before you guys go and say "Well why don't you go and submit a case review." Well I cannot because every time I attempt to, it will not let me click on what I need to click on. I called support
    and they told me to come here specifically, even though the enforcement team no longer works here. So that is what I a doing. I have been trying to settle this issue all day and nothing has happened I have been running in circles but still my patience hasn't
    ran out. I a getting this communication ban for the second time. The first time I received the ban I was fine with because I understood, and it was only for a day. This ban last until the 30th. This ban is unacceptable because I was not involved and my account
    was wrongly involved, and this should not count as another strike against my account. My brother used my account to send some messages to his friends. The messages had "bad" language in it and one of his friends reported me, resulting in the ban. I read on
    the rules that I am responsible for whatever comes out of my account but my brother's friend that reported me said he called Microsoft and told them the situation, yet I am banned. Now if I am not suspended for that situation then I am suspended for no reason,
    because I checked all of my messages and I have said nothing that breaks the rules, this applies to game chat too. I learned my lesson from the first time I was banned. Now either he lied about calling them or Microsoft wants me never to communicate with another
    person on Xbox Live. Can someone send me a private message I just need help appealing this ban. Please remember that I cannot use the case review thing. Thanks!

    I have just set up my xbox one and the sound doesn't sound right. I have it on a 5.1 dolby system it's really odd on call of duty advanced warfare the centre speaker works during cinematic scenes but has no volume during game play it sounds ok and the gun and voice effects come mainly from the front two speakers but that can't be right????

    Has anyone else got call of duty set up on 5.1 dolby system?

    i dont have cod..

    first i would go into settings and controller and update it.. (idk why) but somewhere along the line an update for headsets had something with dolby 5.1 in it.

    i dont have cod so i cant say how my 5.1 sound bar works but the way i recall it is.. the developer sets the standard or output channels.. this is why forza worked next to polk audio to "dial in sound" its not really a microsoft thing as much as cod development.

    i would check settings on xb1 to see if it is in dolby 5.1 or stereo
    i would also check the settings in game to seewhat they are.

    depending on your sound bar check and see i fit has a setting for analog or coax it may also have different modes.. game,movie,stereo,cinamatic each one does alter how sound is projected

    enforcement site
    . They do not frequent the forums anymore.

  5. That is why this whole thing is terrible!

    I am forced to accept a punishment for a situation I had no involvement in.

    The website will not let me press the case review button. This forum is useless, for the most part. What can I do. I am paying for the fair use of Xbox Live yet I cannot even use all of the services provided for Xbox Live. I don't want to sound like I am
    complaining I just want this all resolved the right way Help Please!?! :(

    You did state that your brother sent some messages from your account. So technically speaking you were involved as you are responsible for your account at all times according to the Terms of Use you agreed to when signing up for XBL.

  7. Yes but the messages that were sent were too people on my brothers friends list. So my brother went on his account and asked them if they reported and only one of them did. He then invited him to a party and explained the situation to him. The person who
    reported contacted Microsoft and said that he made a mistake reporting me and he told them the situation yet I'm still here, banned. I waited for a process to go through yet I have received nothing from any support team. No message no nothing. I'm not saying
    Microsoft is wrong here. They were right to ban my account but if they now know the whole situation then why hasnt anything been changed? It's wrong if Microsoft just says "well we know everything was a mishap but we just don't really care" and now that I
    think about it if I get another ban on my account then the punishment is going to be worse because it will be the third time. Which isn't fair because this time shouldn't even exist.

    Not sure who your brother contacted from Microsoft but it wouldn't of been the enforcement team.

    The fact is the message was sent,it was sent from your account which is why you were suspended,doesn't matter why the message was sent.

    It's one of the many reasons you should never let anyone else use your account.

  9. Fact of the matter is that that right there is terrible service. No if and or buts. There should always be a thorough investigation. And I didn't let anybody use my account he did snuck into it. Bottom line is if people accept bogus rules like this then
    it will never change. You can't honestly say that it isn't bogus, and if you saw the message you would see my account was banned for the most silliest reason. The main reason I think Microsoft has it out for me is that I send out reports of the most vulgar
    of messages and yet those people get off free. I understand anybody here wouldn't be able to do anything about situations like this but people here do have a voice. If you guys that reply here with your snarky comments like the one above, if you guys would
    look at some of the crazy situations then you would understand how people in very similar situations like mine feel.

    There is nothing snarky about my post.

    The report was thoroughly investigated & deemed to be worth a suspension.

    The rules are not bogus & apply to everyone.

    If you filed a report about any message you've received then that report would also be thoroughly investigated & action taken against the sender if needed.You wouldn't know the outcome either way although the enforcement team do sometimes send you a thankyou
    message over live but not often.

    Your brother is the one you need to take this up with as he sent the message that led to your suspension.

    I suggest putting a passcode onto your profile so that he can't use it again.

    Your best solution would be to buy a used one either from gamestop, ebay, or pawn shops...you can probably find them for 40 bucks or less nowadays...or if you are electronically handy, you can try opening it up and replacing the hardrive since it uses a
    regular pc hardrive.

    Ok thanks for the link. I tried all that last night. And the video was for the xbox 360 not the original one. The original one does not have an option like that. Those button codes are what I think I need but can't get them because they are specific to each
    serial number. If there is a mass list of codes that would be helpful or some sort of disc that automated the reset process. Thanks Endgamez.

    No it doesn't, no error codes except for the message in my original post:

    "Your Xbox needs service, please contact the customer service number located in your instruction manual."

    And I didn't notice any change with the light. I think it stayed green. And thank you for helping me! I do appreciate it.
