help please!

my xbox one doesnt whant to redeem game codes. i recently buyed fallout 4 and it came with the fallout 3 redeem code . when i pit the code i get an error. what could i do? i live in puerto rico ...

I have just set up my xbox one and the sound doesn't sound right. I have it on a 5.1 dolby system it's really odd on call of duty advanced warfare the centre speaker works during cinematic scenes but has no volume during game play it sounds ok and the gun and voice effects come mainly from the front two speakers but that can't be right????

Has anyone else got call of duty set up on 5.1 dolby system?

i dont have cod..

first i would go into settings and controller and update it.. (idk why) but somewhere along the line an update for headsets had something with dolby 5.1 in it.

i dont have cod so i cant say how my 5.1 sound bar works but the way i recall it is.. the developer sets the standard or output channels.. this is why forza worked next to polk audio to "dial in sound" its not really a microsoft thing as much as cod development.

i would check settings on xb1 to see if it is in dolby 5.1 or stereo
i would also check the settings in game to seewhat they are.

depending on your sound bar check and see i fit has a setting for analog or coax it may also have different modes.. game,movie,stereo,cinamatic each one does alter how sound is projected

So it's the Fallout 3 code that gives you the error? Did Fallout 4 download correct or did that also have problems?

 

i install fallout 4 from de copy disc with no problems, this error came with any game that i redeem with a code. with gears of war gives me the same error : 0x80153016.

i live in puerto rico and my region is set to United States, i dont know if thats matter ...

i really need help resolving this issue...

wich account i have to create again? the gamertag or the live account? i just cheked and the region was not the same.

You do not need to create a new account.

Open this link:
live.xbox.com/.../BillingAccountInformation

Does that link say your region is United States? Now you information at
https://account.microsoft.com (address, region, etc) all need to say United States too.

Do that and then see if the code can be redeemed.

i just entered that link and i saw that my region says australia but it doesnt give me the option to change that! i think i will have to make a new account :/ . it says australia but i cannot click it to change that

 

You don't need to make a new account. You can migrate your account using the steps here:

support.xbox.com/.../change-region

Be sure to read the article and understand the consequences of migrating an account before doing so.

The better option looks like the account migration that Maxen13 suggested above. Please as he said read about all of the possible ramifications. I know I'd rather keep all my achievements and current friends.
