Help Please, Skyrim Game Error :(

Ok so here goes, about a week ago I bought and downloaded skyrim off the xbox market place. I do not have a disc. So telling me to clean the disc would be irrelevant,as there isn't one. Anyway, I bought the game, downloaded
it. it worked great until i got to this one mission [escaping solitude after the emporers assasination, Dark brotherhood questline] and my character died. Game froze. I restarted the xbox, and went to the MyGames tab on the xbox dashboard. I clicked on Skyrim
and as soon as I clicked on it it would disconnect me from xbox live. now I know the connection shouldn't be an issue as It would only disconnect me when I'd click on skyrim, otherwise I would stay connected. It would then tell me to update skyrim. Which I
couldn't do because I was disconnected from live, [as soon as I would go back to the dashboard, or anywhere else I'd be connected again]. So i cleared the system cache 3 times, Deleted everything off my usb flash drive [thats what i'm using for storage right
now until I save up to buy a normal hard drive. My xbox is a 4GB xbox 360 Slim. So I reformatted the usb stick [128GB stick, so thats about 31.9GB on the xbox. Enough to hold skyrim] So I Re-downloaded my profile. Redownloaded skyrim. And now whenever I click
on it, it doesn't disconnect me from xbox live, It just comes up as "GAME ERROR: The game couldn't start. Try downloading the game again"

So I deleted it. Re-downloaded it. Same issue.

What should I do? I really want to play skyrim.

Im connected to a wireless network, and don't tell me to restart my router because the connection isn't the issue here. Its the stupid game error thing.

Please, I really need the help. I've tried everything.

I'd be willing to sacrifice my first born to get this thing fixed. Ok Im joking about that, but all joking aside.PLEASE HELP!!! :'(

Skyrim DLC Hearth Fire wont load the game

I recently bought hearthfire for Skyrim. Unfortunately, Skyrim will not load from the menu.

I only have 3 save files and it's a downloadable game. Please help!

Forgot to add. I was reading somewhere that if you don't have an official microsoft xbox harddrive that the game wouldn't work. Thats fine, but then how was it working before? I've been using the same USB stick. I've seen other people use a USB stick [not
an xbox usb stick, but just a regular usb stick] and they've had no issues. Xbox, why you hate me?

 

Have you tried using another USB Flash drive? Despite the game's size, it's actual storage size is quite low, about 3.8GG. Even with the two main add-on's, the game comes under 4GB.

The Xbox 360 is quite fussy about what make of Flash drive you're using. And while it may seem that all Flash drives are the same, they aren't. Flash drives come with different speeds and different types of memory chips. Some brands of Flash drives just don't
work well with the console at all, your drive could be one of them. What manufacturer is the drive from? If you haven't tried a different brand of Flash drive, then you haven't tried 'everything' yet.

Also, while the larger Flash drives seem good value for money, some of the drives sacrifice speed for the extra capacity. Not really a problem for PC use, but the Xbox 360 is something else. Like I said, not all Flash drives are created equal.

 

maybe, deleate the game, clear your cache and redownload.......

 

I did delete the game,cache and redownloaded it. Didnt work. Did that repeatedly. Didnt work. Its at the point where i can uninstall, clear cache, redownload stuff without even looking at the screen.

I dont even know the brand of flash drive i got, its from ebay. Id have to message the seller to ask what kind it is.

 

Like I said, use a HDD.

Gold membership may also help with online play.........

I would test how genuine your flash drive actually is.

A lot of the 128gb flash drives for sale on ebay are not really 128gb, they are compressed flashdrives with as little as 4gb of actual size.

Google " fake flash drives on ebay" and you will find many horror stories.

There are many free testing programmes you can download online to see if you have a fake one.

No xbox games will work right if you are being forced to compress them onto the drive.

 

Whenever a game has an update to download, it will always disconnect/log you off and ask you to download the update. Have you tried downloading the update? The only way to avoid this would be to load up the game while offline from Live.

 

I'm also leaning towards the fake Flash drive theory too. I've watched programs about fake electronic goods. Thousands of these fake devices are doing the rounds on auction sites and unscrupulous online retailers. They look real, they will even show the
correct amount of free space when connected to a Windows PC, but they are not real.

When opened up, many of these fake USB storage devices actually only contained 8GB or less of real storage! I would check your device to see if it really is a legitimate Flash drive.
