HELP! PASSKEY FORGOTTEN ***BUG***

Not to worry, there are a number of ways you'll be able to get your account back

Firstly, I would try removing you profile from your console, then try re-adding it:

Add and Remove profile

If that doesn't work, then make sure you have tried this link for forgotten password: Password reset

If that still doesn't work, it may be worth contacting Xbox Support, to see if there is any issue with your account: Xbox Contact Us

Click on 'My Account' then 'Password and Security', then the best option is to 'Request a Call'

If you've forgotten your passkey, you can get a new one using your Microsoft account password. Follow these

steps to reset it:

1. When you’re prompted to enter your passkey on the console, enter any 6-digit combination three times.

2. Enter your Microsoft account password when prompted.

3. Select “Make a new passkey”.

4. Enter a new passkey, and then enter it again to confirm.

A forgotten passkey defaults to your Microsoft account password. If you forget your passkey, the console will default to your Microsoft account password as a fail-safe

I rechecked all of my settings and found a parental block on my service provider that affected the xbox. Removed it, restarted the xbox and it then downloaded updates indicating internet access was restored.

I was then able to proceed as per others advice. By that time I remembered the passkey and it still worked.

Anyway the lesson is if you've blocked your kids for misdemeanors it helps to unblock when sentence has been served. Doh!
