Help new Xbox and think mine is faulty

Had PS4 which my brother now uses and had no problems at all! Only had Xbox one a month and been in contact with helpline and where I purchased it from 3 times but with little success. Controller not connecting consistently even with a wire connected. Also added
a cable to the WiFi booster plug Incase that was the problem? Both of which has made no difference. So on the controller the x button and Lb & Rb often won’t work. I reset it all with help from support and it worked for a short time then stopped. It sometimes
is helped by turning on and off but not always. Is this a common problem with Xbox? I also took the controller back to the shop on the advise of support and it worked fine and was suggesting WiFi being the problem, we have no other WiFi issues so I think not
and want to get sorted whilst so new. I really want my PS4 back! Called support number again tonight but after 30 mins waiting time and no answer I gave up. Can you offer any help and advise or forward to some one that can? Please and thank you.

May 2011 Update Got You Down?

ive heard xbox will give u a new xbox because of the "faulty" update its trying to fix research it on google.................my xbox wont even apply the new update to mine it keeps freezing and tells me to reconnect my controller and never proceeds

 

Having problems with Max Payne 3

I believe you may actually have a faulty disc as do i mine does the same thing this is the only thing i can think of.
