HELP NEEDED ON BEST CO-OP SOLUTION

Hi

I get very confused between the various claims that many games make about being CO-OP. I have often bought games that claim to be co-op but clearly aren't what I expected (e.g they only offer very basic and limited coop game play). So i need some advice
on the best co-op solution and what equipment is needed for each. Here's our order of preference that my wife and I would like.

We ONLY like the FULL CAMPAIGN CO-OP games (e.g Army of Twho, Gears of War, etc) and up until now we have played them as SPLITSCREEN CO-OP with a single Xbox console and a single copy of the game. But We've played most of them and so our options for new
games are limited.

So my main questions are

what other coop choices do we have?

With online co-op games, does that mean I have to have 2 TV's, 2 Xbox consoles and 2 versions of the game?

when a game says that it has online co-op does that typically mean that it offers the FULL CAMPAIGN as an online co-op experience or will it still limit us to simple arena type co-op experience?

Happy to get another console and/or copies of favorite games but I don't want to do SE needlessly.

Co-op help needed

I think it switches it up. Normally it goes host then other(if you die) but I have had it start on the other player as the pilot. It may be random but it hard to tell random with only 2 players.

 

Co-op help needed

I'm looking for someone interested in running through the co-op missions. I've had the game since launch but haven't done any of the co-op until the last few weeks.

Specifically I'm looking for someone that has some chopper flying skills, in order to get through the second co-op mission. Did the first mission without a hitch by teaming up with a random. Unfortunately that's where it's all ended. My piloting skills are
nonexistent and it seems that the random people I get paired up with pilot about as well as me. I never fly in MP, I'm more of a ground pounder occasionally jumping into a tank or LAV when necessary.

Attempts at asking people from my friends list for help hasn't panned out either. Just seems that they have all done the co-op ages ago and just aren't interested anymore. So if anyone is interested or willing to spare a few minutes to help me wit this it'd
be greatly appreciated.

Usually the back of the game case states whether it is online or local multiplayer.

If you're looking for more co-op games on Xbox 360, I recommend delving more into Xbox LIVE Arcade's games on Xbox 360.

There are so many options I am not sure where to begin. If you like puzzles: Puzzle Arcade or ilomilo.

If you're more into shooting/adventure/RPG: Fable Heroes, Assault Heroes, Arkadian Warriors, Wolf of the Battlefield 3, Ikaruga

As for other disc-based games (which may also be downloadable) the LEGO games are also co-op and quite fun, such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Jurassic Park. I also believe games like Resident Evil 5 and 6 are local co-op as well.

Yes, most online co-op games require 2 copies of the game. I imagine though if you download a digital game, both Xbox 360's only need to buy one copy of the digital title as you can download the game to the other Xbox 360 and play it on the other one too.
