HELP NEEDED Disc installed but game won't play

So I purchased forza horizon 2 on the 5th. After it installed and updated i try to launch and it freezes on the "Playground games" intro. I've uninstalled the game reinstalled over 10 times since I've had it and no luck or change. My xbox has been unplugged,
hard shutdown by holding the illuminated X logo on the system, profile removed and added again with no change. I swapped disc and this hasn't helped either as well as installing the game offline, so I'm hoping to find a solution from the community. Please
help as this has me lost on what else I can do.

Does the Xbox One game installation help protect against disk damage?

The whole game is installed but the disc is still needed to verify ownership.

I know this because my friend has COD Ghosts on disc installed. If I go to his house and sign in with my profile the game will work without the disc because I own the digital version. If I am not signed in the disc is needed.

Hey there XTreX6.

Let's have you try removing your profile from your Xbox One and then power cycle by holding the power button down for 10 seconds (or until your Xbox One powers off). Once you start it back up, add your profile back and attempt to start the game again.

The problem is the game being on disc and not digital. The disc would need to be used to install and play the game, and since the console at his dad's is all digital it won't work there.

Of you do t need the disc then it's going to need a Internet connection to start then, and it will probably play for 30 minutes whilst not connected and won't save your game. Or everyone will install and sell the disc.

Hi, you do not need to switch disc as all games are installed to the Xbox One's hard drive to play; you won't have to insert the disc to run the game after that initial process.

If you have the play disc installed, you'll still need the disc in the disc drive just to verify ownership, but it won't pull nearly as much data from the disc.

Did installing the game in two separate places improve performance for you at all?

As it's the disc version you would need the disc in the console to be able to play it.

Just because you install the disc onto the hard drive doesn't mean you won't need to put the disc into the console everytime you want to play it.
