Help my son has racked up a bill on Fortnite.

Hello we purchased xbox live during lockdown and wish we never. We did not put a passkey on as we never thought our 11 year old son would purchase anything or knew how to or even could. He has purchased all these v bucks on fornite. We have now put a passkey
on. I went to the refunds and could only claim back 5 and sent an email explaining all this but the response seemed a bit generic and said cant be redunded. The purchases have been made since June and because my husband changed his paper statements to online
a few months back we have just discovered this. Such a shock and not what we need right now. Has anyone had any experience with this or is there any hope or way in getting the money back?

It wouldnt hurt to contact your card company and see if they can be of any help. Microsoft should have safeguards in place to prevent any unathorized activity.

The do have safeguards in place to prevent this sort of thing. They in fact have several ways to prevent this. You just have to use them.

Yes but never thought he could or would do this. I didn't even know about being able to buy fortnite skins. A huge lesson learnt on both parts.
