HELP - Minecraft Story Mode chapter 5 update not installing - USB stick issue?

Hello

I used an 8GB USB stick for extra drive space for my son's xbox 360, and because that quickly ran out of room I got a 128GB SanDisk one to replace it.

I moved all the files across to the new stick using the appropriate xbox menus and tody downloaded the Minecraft Story Mode Chapter 5 update (we have a season pass) but when my son tries to play the new chapter, a dialog box says "New content Downloaded:
New content has been downloaded and is ready to be installed. Would you like to install it by restarting the main menu? Yes/No."

When I choose "Yes" the game simply returns to the main menu and the content is not installed.

Is this to do with the change to the new USB stick?

Please help, my son is heartbroken that he cannot play his favourite game.

xbox stuck on system update stopped screen

have you tried installing the update with usb stick or dvd/cd?

 

Are you sure there is enough space on the USB stick? You should try redownloading the the game and dlc on the USB stick. If that doesn't work do you have a hard drive you could download it on?

 

There is 100GB free. It seems the issue is repeated among many people with this game, so it may be the manufacturer is attempting a fix.
