Help Microsoft Jigsaw wont sign in

I've upgraded to Windows 10, 3 times from Windows 8.1 on my Toshiba Satellite S55-A5295. Each time I was Unable to 'SIGN-IN' to Microsoft Jigsaw. I actually used Three different copies of Windows 8.1 before upgrading. One was the original that came with
the Laptop, the second was supplied by a tech service at great cost and the third was purchased from Walmart. Couldn't sign in to Jigsaw with any of them. I'm a tech and have been working with computers since 1979, 8088, Atari, Commodore, IBM and Radio shack.
I've installed, uninstalled updated and cleaned the computer in virtually every combination possible in an attempt to get this to work. I've been playing Microsoft Jigsaw since September of 2014 or 16 months. In that time, I have had other problems too. The
main 'other' problem is that statistics does not track correctly. Approximately 6% of the time if fails to credit the user for the LAST completed puzzle. On a few occasions, I RESET my computer due to a problem I detected and STATISTICS would remove a number
of completed puzzles from the count. All toll, I've had approximately 4500 completed puzzles removed in this way. That's Four Thousand Five Hundred. Most were in the first 5 of playing the game, but it can still happen now. Having invested a significant Dollar
amount in this game, I can't upgrade to Windows 10 without losing the money. I want to upgrade to Windows 10 and thus the dilemma. IS THERE ANY HOPE out there from Microsoft or Arcadia???

Appended message; especially for those who are still having the same problem. If you can’t sign-in to Microsoft Jigsaw, the following method might work for you.

First, make sure you are on Wi-Fi only, (no ethernet cable connected between your modem/router and your computer). Second, Close out Microsoft Jigsaw, (if it is running).

Third, turn your Wi-Fi OFF.

Fourth, launch Microsoft Jigsaw.

Fifth, Wait until your X-Box Game-tag appears in the upper right corner of the window and any messages disappear.

Finally, turn your Wi-Fi back ON, wait appx. 10-15 seconds and you should be signed-in.

If for any reason you need to “REDO” your computer from scratch there is one thing you must do in order to preserve the games you have completed. GO C:\Windows\users\(????????) Is your particular
user file\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.MicrosoftJigsaw_8wekyb3d8bbwe\

Copy all files in there to any drive other than C: your Windows Drive

“REDO” your computer and Once Jigsaw is reinstalled , copy all those files back to the same \Microsoft.MicrosoftJigsaw_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ folder. You should get back all your games
that were copied.

It is possible that this problem may never be fixed. I think it involves the way the sign-in process checks to see who is playing the game or possibly the data in the cloud. Either
way, it seems that someone out there should be able to solve the problem or at least come up with an optional update that by-passes some or all of the sign-in process all-together. How about it Microsoft, are you up to the challenge? If anyone does solve this

Microsoft Jigsaw occasionally won't sign in despite you being logged into your microsoft account, occasionally what has helped me is signing out of my account and back in on my device and than attempting to start Microsoft Jigsaw

well at least I know I am not the only one. It is very frustrating to have lost all of my progress, collections and achievements on this game. I am experiencing the same issue with ms mah-jong. no matter what trouble shooting is done the games do not
connect! this is a major issue, I have also had no success with ms support. I am very irate at this point

I'm having similar problems Jigsaw gets to the point of signing in then sticks - forever

Mahjong logs in fine

I can log into Xbox.com - no problem

All Windows update completed

MS Jigsaw reinstalled

Chat with Xbox support - doesn't want to know as I play this on Windows 8.1

Anybody got any ideas as from the look of this forum Microsoft don't seem to actually do much
