HELP: Microsoft baited me to fix problem and then refused to refund the item

Dear Xbox support, I bought Forza Horizon 4 (the first game I ever bought on windows store) and tried to update my nickname, in nowhere it said that my nickname on Forza would become "KnightCross8804", I tried to change my name for other available names,
and "" was available when I tried to correct the problem, the store tried to charge me 10€ so I beg please fix my problem it's very distressing to see my nick like that every time I play Forza... I really didn't know it would use those numbers
on a game as new as Forza since it said it would only use that on "old games, that couldn't support the new system".

I contacted Microsoft and asked for help regarding this matter and was told me for me to buy the "nickname change" and ask for a refund after because it was valid as unintentional.

When I contacted Microsoft after the purchase they said they wouldn't refund me and closed my ticket. Where do I present my formal complaint regarding how this was handled and for being fooled? Do I need to get media's attention regarding the matter so it
gets solved for everyone else too?

I do have copy-paste of all of what was said to me, if support wants to see it, let me know via mail so I don't name and shame here on the forum.

system to free up names users want, while still keeping them unique. It prevents users from seeing "This GamerTag is taken" and require a strictly unique gamertag. It will show your name, followed by # and a string of numbers to keep you uniquely identified.

That does not answer the original question.

Also, a Microsoft rep said since it was an unintentional error, which means I could get a chargeback, do I have to post the whole conversation here?

Spent days trying to fix this even live help on Microsoft saying theres lots of people with this problem. Worse thing is they refused a refund saying they wont refund digital games so another words robbed. So no one wants to try help fix it cant get a
refund so now what

It is now june and Microsoft provided only 2 refunds out of the 14 or so extra charges that was put onto my card. Microsoft knows it has a problem with double charging yet refuses to help its customers. Its terms of services are also quite impeccable with
not allowing refunds after 30 days of a purchase. Microsoft had me pay $16 a month extra for at least 5 months and refuses to refund even though I had no knowledge about these extra purchases going on. Microsoft deserves the worst. NEVER BUY REALMS MICROSOFT
WILL RIP YOU OFF UP TO HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IT IS A SCAM. STAY AWAY FROM REALMS!!!!!!

Exact same issue for me. Same initial setup.

Ive removed the whole game, reinstalled, same problem.

Even tried moving it from internal to external HDD to see if that fixes it and still nothing.

Please can anyone find a solution as Microsoft are refusing to issue a refund on something that just does not work.
