Help me! Xbox wireless headset completely unresponsive will not turn off, or hard reset.

I downloaded a firmware update this past week. played with the headset on my xbox for a couple of hours no problem. Then went to use it with my laptop. It dropped the bluetooth connection a couple times randomly. then while trying to pair and unpair with the power button the headset just stopped responding. the light on the mic is on. But i can not turn off my headset or do a hard reset. it just is unresponsive. definitely some issue with the software. When plugged in it also no longer has the orange blinking light indicating its charging. Really like these headphones i hope they are not bricked... I am going to wait until the battery runs out then try plugging it and and turning it on. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay. Let me know if the issue continues after the power drain

As mentioned in the title I already tried to do this "hard reset" multiple times, to no effect.

Hold down the headset's power button and the mute button simultaneously (both buttons are located on the left earcup), and then quickly plug the USB-C cable into your console, PC, or outlet. If the hard reset is successful, the headset should power off. Turn the headset back on and try again.

Power cycle your console, unplug the wireless adapter, and check your headset for a hard reset. After that turn on the console, plug everything back in, and see if that solves the problem.

Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable, wait 10 seconds. Be sure to wait 10 seconds, this step resets the power supply.  Plug the console power cable back in, turn on your Xbox.
