Help me! - Xbox One Controller Bluetooth

Hi guys,

I have bought 2 new (2016 edition) Xbox One controllers for PC about half a year ago.

I was able to pair both of them with my Windows Laptop at the same time and play, some minor problems occured but in the end I was happy cause it worked.

A few months later I wanted to play something again. I tried to pair the controller and it was weird, I severed the bluetooth connection and wanted to recouple them with the Laptop.... But now I cant find them at all anymore, no matter how often I try.

Things I did already do:

- Both controllers are updated through the official app with the latest drivers

- My bluetooth, I have updated the drivers on my laptop

- Both controllers work perfectly when plugged it with the USB-MiniUSB Cable

- checked my Win Version: Windows 10 Version 1703

My guess:

- Maybe any Windows updates happened in between that changed something about bluetooth?

I specifically bought them to be able to play via bluetooth and will have to return them if they will only work with a cable from now on... thats not what I want though. They were great while they worked!

Controller Xbox one on Windows 10

Hi,

I wanted to connect my Xbox One controller on my computer, so I installed the Windows 10 anniversary edition and the controller is still unrecognized in the bluetooth menu. Can you help me please ?

xbox one controller for pc, adapter or bluetooth?

As Geth mentioned, Bluetooth connection to a Windows 10 device will work just fine for Xbox One controllers, depending on the model of the controller. Certain older Xbox One controllers do not support Bluetooth connections.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

But of course I know about this guide and followed it! That is how I got my controllers to work when I first received them. But now that I try to connect them again, in step 7 I cant couple the controller to the PC anymore via bluetooth. It just doesnt appear,
no matter how long I continue to search. The weird part is that it used to work... and that the controllers work flawless if plugged in.

Hey Giuseppe,

Yes, that looks like a Bluetooth supported controller to me. It should also state so on the box.

Description for the controllers is as follows:

"On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the Xbox button is part of the top, where the bumpers are."

That controller you posted fits the description of Bluetooth supported controllers listed from this

link.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are having issue with controller. Here is a

guide for Bluetooth. There are pictures that show how to tell if your controller is Bluetooth or not. Not all Xbox controllers are Bluetooth.

On Bluetooth-supported controllers, the plastic around the Xbox button
 is part of the face of the controller. On controllers without Bluetooth, the plastic around the
Xbox button  is part of the top, where the bumpers are.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend trying the troubleshoot Bluetooth controller.
It is possible the controller is not Bluetooth. The support page shows what to look for to tell if a Bluetooth controller.
