Help me with my brothers laptop

His computer keeps asking him to do automatic repair. So he does so and restarts it and then it goes back to the same page and asks him again. Then he cant remember his outlook password for his laptop. we try to recover it but it goes to restart it and ask the same things like troubleshoot ones and stuff but you need a password and he doesnt know it. but every option we choose it asks to restart and come back to the same screen or it ask for a password that we dont know. can someone help please. we need it to work before christmas.

atronach-- if this helps you out-- my brother just got back from college, and sitting on the couch like 2 or so feet from the modem he gets 4/5 bars on his w7 laptop

yes my brother is using xbl through his laptop and has no problem. I am not using my laptop for xbl. just last night everything was fine tho.

so if I buy a ethernet cable will it fix my problem?

No, I did not get a chance to try ICS. When I did the bridge on his laptop it worked. And my brother has the slim xbox so it has built in wifi. Also, I probably wont be using my dads laptop because he was confused about the network bridge and he was having
problems connecting to the internet. He was really dissapointed in me.
