Help me with finding a way to recover the account. please.

Hello,

I’m reaching out because I need assistance with recovering my Microsoft account/xbox account. A few months ago, my account was compromised, and I’ve been unable to regain access since then. The hacker changed my email, password, and other details, and I’ve tried the automated recovery methods, but they haven’t worked. I know my past login details, but the automated systems haven’t allowed me to regain access.

Here’s a summary of my situation:

Account Issue: My Microsoft/xbox account account was hijacked. The hacker changed the email address and password associated with it.

Recovery Attempts: I’ve used Microsoft’s and xbox's automated recovery methods, but they haven’t been effective due to the hacker intercepting the reset process.

Proof of Ownership: I can provide the old email and password associated with the account, along with some device and IP information. I’ve also linked the account to services like Xbox and Minecraft.

Minecraft Account: The Minecraft account tied to this Microsoft account has been renamed by the hacker, and I’ve linked it here for reference: https://ms.namemc.com/profile/MaricoPerro.1 before the name was unfurledharrpy8

I understand that account recovery can take time, but I’ve exhausted the automated recovery options and haven’t been able to get human assistance. If anyone has advice on how to escalate this situation or if you’ve faced something similar, I would greatly appreciate your help.

I'm sorry you're having this issue, as I understand your concerns about the privacy of your account and how annoying not being able to access it can be. Situations where our email account with personal information, contacts, messages and even our documents are really involved are a little more delicate.

When the hacker manages to change the password, and the account alias, it is because he also has access to security information, as well as, cell phone, alternative email that you yourself registered in your account.

Unfortunately, when the hacker manages to change the account's security information, the account is hardly recoverable. That's why it's very important to keep your security info up to date and use different passwords across all platforms.

Even if you create the account with the same domain as before, you will not be able to view your games, subscriptions and emails, as it is a new account.

I'm a user like you and there's not much I can do in the community as visibility is public. Contact MSA Support and see if you can follow the Account Takeover (ATO), investigation is done on a case-by-case basis.
