Help me sync controller

Try re-syncing the controller to see if that helps.

Press the sync button on the front of the controller and the sync button on the console to see if it will reconnect.

Hey there Jerry! I find that if you remove all controllers and headsets from the console, then turn the wireless headset on, sync it to player 1, then turn on the controller, it should sync up just fine. Please let me know if that helps, thanks!

To sync a controller to the Xbox you have to press the sync button on both the controller and the console. If you haven't done that, then it will not sync up. Instructions can be found here

Have you tried syncing the controller to the console? Hold the sync button on the front of the controller and the sync button on the console (on the left side just before the usb) until the light on the controller syncs.

If that doesn't work then try heading over to Settings>System and update the controller to see if that helps.
