Have you tried power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down?

will that work with a slim console though?

 

Could it possibly be that my ports aren't forwarded? But I still don't underdtand why I could get on all weekend, and now all of a sudden I can't. Everything in my house can use the internet fine, except for my xbox. I'm honestly pretty frusturated at this
point.

Power Cycle is for Xbox One as that is basically clearing System cache on your 360 slim console.

If nothing works try putting your console back to Factory Settings, downside is you loss all your saved games and downloaded games unless you move everything onto USB Flashdrive. information can be found via the Support page under Xbox 360.
