Help me please!

When my mic is plugged in I can hear the party but the party couldn’t hear me, my mic wasn’t even detecting my voice, I tried using 2 different controllers and I tried without the mic adapter, but all still have the same problem, I can hear party, party
can’t hear me. When my friend screams into his mic my mic will pick it up and echo but it won’t detect my voice. It detects my voice and works fine when I plug it into my phone, it’s not my adapter because like I said I tried plugging my mic into the controller
itself and still had the same problem, it literally worked fine this morning

Have you tried a different microphone yet? It sounds like there may be a worn out wire or connection in the one you are using.

 

Try moving your cable around a bit..

Probably it is going to pick up some voice while doing that.

If so, you have a defective mic cable.

Check in controller settings and verify that the microphone is not turned off.

What headsets are you using? Some mics may be compatible for phones but not the Xbox Controller.

For example the standard Apple Earpieces' mic does not work on Xbox although the speakers do.
