So, i found my original Halo cd and cd-key, but my disc is ruined. I wish i could play it before the collection launches, is there any way to download the game and put my original code, so i can play it again?

When you say the disc is ruined do you mean scratched? Those can be fixed, many games retailers will have a disc repair machine which might be able to salvage the disc for a small fee if it's not too badly damaged, might be an idea to see if any local
to you (if there are any!) can do so!

Hi,

Pretty sure these old PC DVD disc games have CD-Keys that are tied to the original disc. Not that it matters anyway, because without the disc you can't install the game. MS removed any digital version of this game long ago.

On the bright side though, a quick look on sites such as eBay should bring up a working second hand copy for 'pocket money prices' these days. I would look there.

Of course, if you can hold off, the MCC remastered collection will release on Windows 10 soon with the same graphics as the Xbox One versions, as long as your PC is up to the task of running them of course.
