*HELP* issues with the xbox one companion app

    okay so im going to provide as much info as i can, im in dire need of help its extremely frustrating.

    so i have been using the xbox one companion app for IOS since day one with no issues. i have used it mainly to type messages faster with new messages and replying to existing conversations. a few months ago i started to have issues with messaging via my
    phone. if i were to start a new message on the phone it would say

    "unable to send message. we are unable to send the message. the recipient may not exist, is not a friend, or we could not reach the service. "

    this is a new message to someone on my friends list mind you. when i try to reply to an existing conversation using the app on my phone i get

    "change your privacy settings for communication. something went wrong"

    i have spoken to three support agents on the matter and have tried all types pf troubleshooting such as power cycling, removing my account, deleting the app redownloading it, rebooting my iPhone etc.. the first agent gave me a series of ports i need open
    on my router for xbox one services and i had to google port forwarding i think this is the most ideal avenue for the cause of my issue. i tried to open the following ports:

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)
    • 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)
    after doing that and about to click save on my router it told me port 53 could not be opened or saved something along those lines i deleted that port and it allowed me to save. but the problem is still there. i don't know if port 53 is the cause or even
    if port forwarding is even the issue but im in extreme need of help *HELP* issues with the xbox one companion app :( im from the uk and im with TalkTalk internet provider. please all help will be appreciated.

    Played 2h. Crashes and glitches already.

    I haven't had one problem with the game. Only the issues with the companion app which are being worked on.

    Xbox one Smartglass on Windows 8.1

    Does xbox one smartglass work properly on a PC with windows 8.1??

    okaz guys so ive been playing battlefield 4 on my xbox one, and so far been using the companion app on it with my samsung galaxy s3 and it works perfectly. However; i noticed i can download the app on my pc with windows 8.1 on it as an app and so i did.

    the problem is it logs into my xbox and everything goes perfectly smooth, but when i try to use the companion app for battlefield it gets stuck in "loading Battlescreen"

    does the companion app only work with phones and tablets??

    Account issue

    I checked, and the NAT type on the companion app is Strict, but on the Xbox One it is Moderate. Could that be the issue, and could I fix it by logging out of the companion when I am using the Xbox?

    Which Phone are you using ? There is an issue with HTC Phones that you cant have a Data-Connection and a Wireless-Connection at the same time ....
