Help! I need Xbox One Default IP Settings!

Since the default automatic settings did not work, try setting the IP address manually. First get your computer's IP settings, and then set your console's IP settings.

The default IP address you need to connect to is 192.168.2.1

You need to put this IP address into the address bar like you would with any website.

The default username is to be left blank and the default password is admin.

Weird. My HH5 was a nightmare to get working properly with the xbox one but it didn't do this.

I assume it didn't do this with the hh4?

You haven't messed around with the network settings in the xbox have you like setting up a static IP?

IP settings in the xbox should be set to automatic. If you have set up a static IP in xbox settings and the laptop is trying to use same IP then there can be conflicts.

Try resetting the network settings to default in the xbox and see if that fixes it.

For whatever reason, it seems like your Xbox doesn't get a DNS Server address from your router in that current configuration.

If resetting the network settings to factory default (by going right in the network settings to the advanced settings) and restarting your router doesn't work, you might want to try to manually set the IP settings.

Simply copy what the Xbox currently has as IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway, and manually put 192.168.0.1 or (if that doesn't work) 8.8.8.8 as DNS server IP adresses in your configuration.

You router will not auto port forward, but that is more than likely not your problem.

You probably are having IP conflicts, there is more than one device on your network with the same IP (if your xbox is set to use a manually added IP) or you need to increase your IP scope.

Do this: search for your router's default admin password, punch in 192.168.1.1 into any LOCALLY connected computer's browser (brand doesn't matter), a username and password field will pop up, enter the default PW (unless changed) and NO username. Go to where
the router lists the total number of IPs allowed (usually 50) and increase the number.

The other option is to set the xbox at a dynamically added IP from inside the xbox dashboard and set that value at the highest number in your scope (as determined from the previous step).
