[HELP] I can't Join my friend in any game!

Me and my friend have been having this trouble for a while now, so the problem is that we can't host each other connection even though we are both open nat and from the same internet provider. For example we can' join each others minecraft worlds, can't
be in the same private match on Cod. and in parties takes like 20 secs to join the party, then while we are in the party randomly it keeps on cutting us out by saying "connecting" then it would rejoin the party.

How to send game invites

Weird question I guess, but I can't find anywhere on friends,party or anywhere else intact where to send invites to friends to join your game, also no option to join my friends game. Any help?

Joining A friend's game problem

So this has been happening for a long time. I have a friend that can't join any of my GTA games but I can join other games like MW3 and MW2 with no problem. Also I can't join any of his games that are hosted by him on GTA. I've set my NAT to open and set
my xbox to DMZ mode and nothing seems to fix the problem. My other friends can join his games but not me. So please help me find a fix to this.

Hi Fakkiro,

Are you and your friend playing on an xbox 360 and a One or both the same? I don't believe you can join in those servers with 2 different consoles, if not, then you can try to both uninstall and reinstall your profiles onto your consoles and in between you
can clear your MAC address, you can do this by going to your settings > network settings > advanced settings > alternate MAC > clear, it's going to restart your console, then try to join again.

Hey there Fakkiro,

It sounds like there could be either an issue with the NAT and more specifically not all of the proper ports are open on your Router. Or it could be an issue with latency or packet loss.

Here is some information pertaining to the ports needed to be open to optimise your connection to Xbox Live and avoid certain issues like this.

Network ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One Your Internet Service Provider or Router Manufacturer would be able to walk you through the steps to open all of these ports.

Also, you'll want to test your Xbox Live connection on the console to ensure you're not seeing any Packet Loss or High Latency.

Also, be sure to try CallMeLalo's steps as well as they can also help.

I am not on any app i am on my consol and i keep trying to join games or parties wkth my friends but i can't jojn them and they can't join me. The only code i get is 0x89231806. Saying i am blocking my party chat. Please help.

If I may ask, what is the exact error message or error code that you're getting whenever you're trying to play with your friend? Also, what device are you using? Are you on Xbox or PC?

Still not fixed... Can't join any games. I can join my friends chat party, he can join a game, but I'm stuck on an isolated network with 114 players in Big Team :-(

Can you try clearing the MAC address?

Press Start at the main Xbox menu. Navigate to Settings. Select Network Settings, Advanced Settings, Alternative Mac Address, and finally Clear.
