Help! I am unable to set non-solid backgrounds or receive notifications.

For some reason none of these two features work and I don't know why, I have even hard reset my console. Please help me if you have an answer for my issue because it really sucks not being able to know when I receive achievements and not being able fully
customize my dashboard.

Can't set achievement art as background?

Same problem here. I wanted to change my background yesterday (previously had set another achievement art), but didn't let me. I can set screenshots and solid color as background, but no achievements (any game). Tried hard reset but no results. Help please.

 

not receiving notification for game and party invites

For the last month or so since the November update I've been unable to receive any game notifications from anyone including friends and clan members. I can send and receive message just not getting any notifications that I have messages.

To check, do you receive notifications within the Windows 10 Xbox App? If you get a chance, please give that a check and let us know.

 

I have managed to fix my notifications but I am still unable to set achievement art as a background for my dashboard. I made a short video to show what happens when I try:

 

edit: I recently bought Xbox Live Gold and it works now. I am not sure if this is the exact reason but achievement art backgrounds work now.

 

Hey tulpa! This was a known issue over the weekend but we're hearing that it was resolved. And I can see you said that it worked for you so sounds like the teams figured out the issue.
