Help. I am Lost in my Own World!

My son and I just got XB1 MC and created a world. We built really cool stuff and have several pets. I then went sailing and got lost. My son went out looking for me using the Map and now we are both lost. We both ended up on the same spot on the Map but
could not even see each other. His map showed a land mass, but my map is empty blue with our two dots on it. We exited without saving but after restarting, and returning, the game dropped us both right where we were - LOST!

Is there any hope of us finding our way back to out homesteads? Now it's forever night.

Are Mincraft worlds infinite? Is there some secret to working the map to find my way home?

I lost my worlds !!!!! I just deleted my Profile because I couldnt sign in after changing gamertag !

Please help me I worked my heart out on those worlds

Minecraft for Xbox One has four map sizes: Small, Medium, Large and Classic.

As for your problem. the only way I can think of getting back to your initial spawn point (as long as you haven't slept in a bed yet) is to kill yourself. Alternatively, you could craft a compass which will always point towards your spawn point when you
first loaded up the game.

windows 10 minecraft does not support cloud saves, if the place you sent the pc to has had to replace the mainboard or reset the OS then you will have lost them all for good.

whenever you hand over a pc for repair they always warn of data loss if it's a legit company that is.

2 in 1's are notorious for breaking down, if the screen was broken and the board damaged then they may have replaced the board as most 2 in 1 units have onboard storage which cannot be removed most of the time.

i work on a lot of them.
