HELP!! Green screen of death!

was playing my xbox one all day no problems, got off for a bit to go eat whn I came back I turn Ed my console on and then the green screen got stuck for acetal minUtes now no matter what I do I can't get my Xbox to start I am very *** off I've owned almost
every system and this has never happened before, this is unacceptable for a new system and I demand help ASAP. this is a bad look for MS

I've got "the green screen of death" and I don't know what to do can anyone help

 

Why does this happen and what is the official Microsoft way to fix this I do not want to hve to send my Xbox to Microsoft

 

this will boot it to a kind of safe mod , low res ...usually for a blank screen but you could try it...

1.If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

2.On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

3.Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until the second
beep occurs.

Note This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, go to Settings in the guide, select Display & sounds, Video options, and then TV Resolution.

4.If you are required to complete these steps on every boot-up, you will want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 in the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more information, see How to adjust the
display settings on your Xbox One console.

 

I appreciate the help, but unfortunately this did not work, matter of fact when ever I held te buttons down it repeatedly beep and then would shut off on its own. This is really frustrating no console has ever done this before. What the hell did microsoft
do I babied my Xbox one like it was the most irreplaceable thing in the world and it goes and has a hardware crash on me now my system is basically a BRICK I've spent thousands of dollars on Xbox and Microsoft and this is the thanks I get if this doesn't get
sorted out for FREE cause I did nothing to my box and I'll be damned if microsoft try to charge me for their problems then I'll have no choice but to go to PS4, I ain't no fanboy but I chose an Xbox one over ps4 and I've honeyly regretted it and now this is

You may try the offline diagnostic tool. You can factory reset your console this way if you cannot access it.

Your save games and your profile are stored on Xbox Live so you won't lose anything except what is on the HDD, so games etc will have to be redownloaded but you lose anything on your profile etc.

 

thats so pathetic that extra equipment is needed to fix something that SHOULD OF NEVER HAPPENED TO BEGIN WITH, this is why not to buy digital games cause now i have to get my xbox fixed cause i know ms will never refund me for my games and im ready to make
the switch to PS4 at this point either way IM NEVER BUYING ANOTHER MICROSOFT OF XBOX PRODUCT EVER AGAIN THE REST OF MY GAMING LIFE AND MONEY$$$$$ IS GOING TO PC OR SONY PLAYSTATION CONSOLES. BAD SHOW MICROSOFT

so i get stuck at the green xbox one screen for several minutes and then it goes black and a gray screen pops up "something went wrong" and it gives me this error code 0x80070102 i go this website to look up the error code and its unknown error code even
microsoft doesnt have a clue wht the *** is going on, IM SO *** *** I HAVE A APPLE COMPUTER AND I DONT THINK I HAVE A USB STICK SO *** ME RIGHT MICROSOFT IM *** OUT OF LUCK

 

I am puzzled why you would think you would lose all your digital downloads? They are saved to your account and can always be re-downloaded once your console is back up and running. It sounds like your console has failed. How old is it? Regardless if you
got the PS4 equipment is equipment - it can fail new or old. If it is within a year the console is still under warranty and every game you have purchased will still be there.

 

I bought it January 2nd this year from Amazon.com I didn't purchase a warranty, but are you saying that the console comes with a one year warranty from Microsoft no matter who you buy it from as long as it's new? If so that's great news as I should have
a month left and I will definitely look into that, but how would I do this? Through Amazon or Microsoft? sorry about going off I'm just really frustrated right now.

And I completely understand the frustration of paying money and then it fails. I call that life Are you in the US or?

 

Oh! The site will also tell you how much time is left on your warranty also. The nice thing about Amazon is you can look up when you purchased it and download the receipt also.
