    Help | Games / Forza Horizon 4 Will not get past splash screen


    Hello — I've tried googling this issue and looking on these forums but this far I've found no fix for the issue. Links our guidance would be appreciated.

    My Issue

    When booting up Forza Horizon 4 on my computer — the splash screen will appear but then close and nothing else will happen. No game will boot up. Below I've put two images in order of when they appear, then after both; the game
    closes. Nothing happens.

    What I've tried

    1. Redownloading the entire game (70GB+, I'm not doing this again)
    2. Restarting the computer
    3. Resetting windows store / xbox app
    4. Running the Powershell commands from the third reply in

    5. Updating windows
    6. Scream at my computer
    7. Bash my keyboard a few times

    Computer Specs

    OS: Windows 10

    BI: 64 Bit

    GPU: 2070 Super Overclocked

    CPU: i7-9700k

    RAM: 32 Gig @ 3200

    To anyone who still has this issue, try the below 2 methods -

    When you see the second splash screen (small one) -

    1. Click on the forza horizon 5 shortcut multiple times.

    OR

    2. Alt+Tab and make sure the splash screen is selected

    I'm having the same issue. However, mine says Hang Type: Quiesce.

    I have the ultimate edition too.

    So I tried uninstalling some apps and it seems that Spotify might be causing these issues. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but there's no harm in trying.

    I'll try again tomorrow and see if Forza keeps opening smoothly and reliably.
