HELP! Forza Horizon 3 game freezing on loading

Hope you can help! My son has had a Forza Xbox One 1tb for a year now with pretty much no probs. He's been playing Forza Horizon 3 since it came out (he purchased the game on disc
new from Game). He had recently purchased the Hot Wheels pack a week or 2 ago (online download) and has played it with no probs at all. This weekend he loaded the Forza disc and during the loading screen pressed ‘A to start’ and the game starts to load …..but
then just hangs and makes a horrid noise where the sound gets stuck. We have tried reloading the game, cleaning the disc, turning it off and on again - several times, unplugging the power brick, unplugging the whole thing from the wall, clearing the cache,
deleting and reinstalling the game and all to no avail. All other games he has plays fine – it’s just Forza Horizon 3. The only thing that works is to play Forza via his sisters profile. This makes me think his actual profile is corrupt maybe?
He has nearly 200 cars he's earned (not bought but by earning credits on the game and barn finds etc) and the thought of telling him he may have to lose them all fills me with dread! I have seen on
one of the official Xbox support thread ““My Xbox One game won’t start or freezes during gameplay” that you can “remove
your profile from the console and then download your account again” but does that mean he will keep his cars, paint jobs, etc. when he downloads it again?
you can Help me please!!!!! I am no computer whizz so laymen terms please!

When i open Forza Horizon 3 everything goes normal. But when i press ENTER it keeps loading,

i even waited for six houres but it still keeps loading.

He should have everything there when he downloads his profile again. Those are all linked to both the account and the game save. The issue that might arise is that removing and re-adding the profile might not work. It sounds like it might be a game save
issue, and there's a chance he could lose some items if he deletes his save.

HI Misses Quinzel Thanks so much for replying. Have been onto the Xbox Chat (several times - I have several service request no's) and been thru other stuff they recommended to try - including

deleting his profile and reinstalling it, setting the Xbox back to factory settings (keeping games and apps), clearing persistent storage under Blue-ray settings, and clearing local saved games and lastly loading his profile onto his friends Xbox and
trying to play the game on there ..... all so far are unsuccessful Sounds like his Forza profile game save is the issue as all other games are ok and he can play Forza disc via his sisters profile no probs. Last resort is to clear the game data but he will
then lose all his cars and credits etc. Not the solution we'd like. I've sent an email updating Xbox support but no reply as yet May go on the chat forum again and quote the ref no I have. Any other ideas greatly appreciated. Cheers! AJ

He will likely lose all of his credits, but any cars he has purchased through DLC or something not earned in game would still be there. For example, if he got the Halo Warthog vehicle through us, that is an account entitlement and will always be there.

Please continue to keep me updated! While I can't help much in the way of troubleshooting since you've already done almost everything you can for this issue, I am always happy to see how these situations work out.

Spookily - since trying to load his profile on his friends Xbox, then trying to play the game on there and it not working. My son then tried one last time to load it back on his Xbox under his profile before he resorted to clearing the game profile ....
and it worked!!!! He's played it a few times since and all seems ok so weather trying it on his friends machines did unlock something I don't know. Fingers crossed it will be ok. Thanks again for your help.
