Help for not registered xbox one error

i also wish to register my elite controller but get the error.

xbox one registered ok but elite controller serial number too long so shows invalid.

any help would be appreciated.

I am getting the EXACT same error when trying to register through xbox.com on my computer. The old xbox is still registered and showing up on the account, but when I attempt to register the new one; I get the aforementioned error.

What happens is that your xbox is not national, and the record you are looking at is from an xbox manufactured in Brazil. that is, the same sequence of serial numbers is used in other countries, look behind your xbox and you will see the seal where it informs where it was manufactured.

The warranty is not updated, even because the xbox that is registered in your account is not yours, but fear not, if you need repair, just show the invoice to the support in the online chat options or request a call and ask him to open repair.

Sorry to hear you are running into this error message on the Xbox One console. When seeing this error message the only available options to troubleshoot would be the ones provided to you through the "Xbox
One Startup Error/Xbox System Update Error" Support page. If resetting the console or attempting to update it while offline has not resolved the problem then you will need to send the console in to be serviced.

You can Register and set up a repair order through the
Microsoft Device Support page.
