Help for an old gamer plz?

First off I am not even sure if this is the correct place to post this so I apologize in advance if its not.

On to my question or questions. As the topic says I am an older gamer and not familiar with todays tech such as smartglass, ipads, ipods, etc. My daughers laugh at me all the time but i do love gaming and I love my xbox. I have been gaming for well over
20 years but always just stuck with consoles. Recently I noticed alot of my friends have been gaining achievements on games like solitare, minesweeper, etc and when I asked about it they said it was through windows.

Now seeing as I love gaing achievements and really enjoy these games I would like to start playing them as well But I have no clue as to where to start. Please keep in mind any help you may offer and things you may seem simple and abvious wont be the
same for myself. My wife uses the PC for facebook, ebay, and shopping. And I use it for ebay and xbox so thats my limits on the PC.

For example, do I actually play these games on the PC or do I download them to my xbox? Stupid right? Well thats where I am at with this.

Lastly, and most important. I have noticed by reading some threads that some gamers have lost there gamer tag and all achievements, or they had to start a new gamer tag. I really dont want this to happen and lose all of my achievements and downloads.

Older Game Achievement Help

Hey, I'm looking to get help with older game achievements. Right now the 2 games I'm trying to get checked off are Prey and Dark Sector. If anybody can help me i'd appreciate it. I also have the following games that I can play too. Send me a friend request
with what game you want to play.

The Orange Box, ShadowRun, Too Human, Perfect Dark Zero, Bulletstorm Epic Edition, Gears of War 1 and 3, Resident Evil 5, Army of Two, Bioshock 2, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, and Portal 2.

 

Older Game Achievement Help

If I were you man I would go to
www.xbox360achievements.org and try there. I'm sure someone would be down for some.

That being said, I need Gears of War 1, Bioshock 2, and Portal 2. But find me on that site if you like getting old achievements.

there is a lot of games on windows 10 (and also 8.1) that allow achievements... here are a few.

FIFA 14, 15

Asphalt overdrive and 8 airborne

Jetpack joyride.

Microsoft: solitaire collection, mojang, minesweeper

some that you have played as like minions project spark

New games like (sadly) candy crush saga and (better) minecraft win 10 beta. ($9.99)

and lots of others... if you go into the store and look at the collection "Great Xbox games" all of those will give you achievements.

also you should not lose your achievements or anything. (if on the xbox app you may have to try to sign in about 5 times before it works.)

Thanks so much. I managed to upgrade to windows 10 and started playing some games but for some reason it tells me my password is an error but if i go to the games from google to xbox live and then windows games i have no problem. Its just when I go from
the xbox app that I get the error code.

As far as the achievements I had thought some would be so so easy but its not to be. LOL Some take some real time and patience. Oh well. Its better to work for them.
