    I want to play and download the classic 2005 version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my Xbox One S. I tried looking for it on the Microsoft game/app store, but it wasn't showing up. I also tried purchasing it through the web on the Microsoft website using
    my laptop, but it would just refresh the page, no error or confirmation message, nothing. Tried Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome. I understand that this game is available using backward compatibility, and I've seen other people have downloaded it and play
    it on the Xbox One. I don't have a 360 available to me to try and purchase it that way. I know that I can buy a hardcopy version, but those are running about $15-20. On the Microsoft website it lists it as $9.99 as an online download. Can anyone help me with
    this? Thanks.

    The SW Battlefront 1 and 2 have a xbox one version, while the unleashed are only 360 games, playable on xbox one by backward compatibility.

    The Star Wars Battlefront 2 that is available for free download is the one that was developed by Pandemic Studios and published by Lucasarts in 2005. The EA one that was released in 2017 is not available for free.

    Battlefront 2 (2005) was my favorite on 360 and holds up pretty well on xbox one too. My favorite game on xbox one is probably the witcher 3.

    I've already found out you need internet to download the Xbox 360 games (even you've got the disc) because of the reason what you read.

    But you didn't answer my leftover question:

    My question is if you need permanently internet connection (Xbox Live) to start/play Xbox 360/One games
    AFTER you've downloaded and installed the game by disc or as digital version.

    I don't want to download and install several of my Xbox 360/One "offline" games (for example Assassins Creed Series, Mass Effect Series, Fable Series, SW Battlefront 2, SW Fallen Order, Shadow of War, etc.) with huge storage (5-80GB) with limited internet
    connection (max 3.6 megabits/s) which it would take many hours to download these games just to find out that you can't start/play these games in "offline mode" after download and installation.

    I've already known and did that step how to set the xbox offline and but it doesn't answer my original question.
