Help! Disc not ejecting

Ok so I am in need of some major assistance! I've read the forums, google searches and the like. My daughter's slumber party is tomorrow and like an idiot I bought her a new piece of technology that has just baffled me! Now good grief, I'm a programmer but
goodness why is the Xbox one the thing that trips me up...lack of sleep maybe? So I have an Xbox One and lo and behold find out that the sales associate knew little to nothing about the compatibility of this console with its predecessor. I digress...over 100
games and only 3 are compatible...smh...the real issue? I can't get the current disc out of the console! Why is there not an eject measure on the controller?! Tried everything, including the paper clip trick (which I shouldn't have to incorporate). When I
press the eject button, the console double beeps, as if to say "not a chance"....I really want to give this console the benefit of the doubt but the PS4 is looking really good right about now. Any suggestions? Any tricks? Anything? This console is getting
ready to be a Craigslist item!

Can't believe the tech support offered on this! use a paper clip yep I've tried and the Alan key still no joy! Wtf this is a £400 quid item not a kids vtech toy!!

Not ejecting disc

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
the results.

If that doesn't work you will probably need to contact support and set it up for a repair. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us

Hi, if you tried both the automatic and manual eject options it may just be the disc is jammed in the drive and no amount of attempts will get it out, you would then need to send the Xbox into the service centre.

Something I have seen that works on occasion is to disconnect the Xbox from the power supply and disconnect all the cables, turn the Xbox over so it's upside down and try the manual eject again.

It shows how to manually eject the disc tray on the Xbox, and has a how to video.

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Forums. You should be able to manually eject the disc if it is in the consoles disc bay. Go ahead and follow the steps on the following support article to eject the disc.

Manually eject a disc from Xbox One

If no disc comes out then it is either not being done correctly or there is no disc in the console.
