Help connecting Xbox to Internet through Windows 7 PC

Hey there, I'd suggest running though the official steps and seeing if you've missed something:

support.xbox.com/.../win-computer

As I understand though, a bridge connection is a way to connect the Xbox to the internet, through a PC or laptop without a router, so if you're using a router I'm not sure why you wouldn't connect the Xbox directly to it? I might be missing something though,
read through that link and post back if you continue to have issues.

Sounds like you need a computer with 2 network ports. Plug one into the internet of your apartment. Plug your xbox into the second. Do the client confirmation through the computer. after that is done, go to network settings and link the 2 network ports where
the internet passes through your computer to the xbox. Here is a simple set of instructions for you that should help you out.

Hi, I present my problem clearly. I have two computers one with windows 7 and the other with Windows 8, a xbox360 and a connection through key tim(im italian), and an ethernet cable. So the problem is that by connecting all the desktop computer with windows
7 I can not access to xbox live while the laptop with Windows 8 no. I called 3 times and 2 to support windows xbox without success, you're my only hope at this point. When I connect with the laptop with Windows 8 (the one with which it does not work live)
gives me the following error: DNS error, can not contact the server xbox live. I tried everything that the support service offered on-line, or manually change the DNS code, mask, etc., but in spite of this not working. In pc with windows 7 was enough to make
the sharing of the Internet produced by the stick and I was right. able to help me? the support told me that the problem should be interet in the settings of the handset. thanks in advance. Also i prove to make a bridging connections but with internet key
and xbox i cant do this

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. Please note that Windows 7 does not have full support for Xbox One controllers. As such, some features such as the Xbox button will not work. Windows 10/11 have built-in support for Xbox One controllers.

Windows 7 is no longer receiving support or updates, making your PC vulnerable to attacks. If your PC is connected to the internet, Windows 7 is not safe to use. I strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 10 or 11.
