[Help] Connecting my USB Headset to xbox one

Hi, so I have a gaming headset that I want to connect to my xbox one so I can hear sounds in game, but I don't know how to connect my headset so it will work because it is usb. HELP!

How to charge your Xbox Wireless Headset

You should charge your wireless headset overnight before you start using it for the first time. You can charge your wireless headset using a USB charging cable or an AC power adapter.

To charge with a USB charging cable, connect one end of the headset charging cable to your wireless headset and plug the other end into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. You have to turn on your console to charge the headset.

To charge with an AC power adapter, plug it into an electrical outlet and connect the other end to the wireless headset.

Note: When you connect the AC power adapter with your headset, the connection (if any) between the headset and console will be interrupted.

At the time of charging, the lights on your wireless headset flash one at a time, and then turn off. But when the headset is fully charged, all four lights blink together.

The headset beeps when the battery is low.

If your headset beeps two times, it means that 30 minutes of battery life remains.

If it beeps three times, 5 minutes of battery life remains.

Turtle Beach headset on xbox one

I have the turtle beach xl1 headset and I need help with connecting it to my xbox one. I plug in the red and yellow wires on the headset to the back of my tv right under the hdmi cord, and plug the usb into my tv, but i still dont hear any audio. I dont
have the headset adapter but do I need one just to hear audio, or is the adapter for your controller only for chat. Someone please help.

I'm sorry to see any frustrations with connecting a headset to the console! USB headsets are not supported on the Xbox One console at this time, though most USB headsets do have adapters to connect to 3.5mm connections. You would need to refer to your headset
manufacturer for information on how to do that, though.

Hi, no it is not possible to connect a USB headset to the Xbox One. You have to connect a headset either wireless or using the 3.5mm connector on the controller or with the headset adapter.

Unfortunately, USB microphones are not compatible to use on the Xbox One console. Headsets are the form of communication on the Xbox One console. My son had this problem. His wireless headset did not connect directly to the Xbox, he needed to plug in a littl USB dongle that came with the headset into the xbox for it to work. Make sure you don't need one of these USB dongles for it to work and if
it does, maybe try a different USB port on the xbox.

Looks like the headset is designed for PC gaming and not Xbox. Consoles only support the 3.5mm connection (plugs directly into the controller) or the consoles proprietary wireless connection. Some headsets have a base station that uses USB to power it, but
no audio is available through USB on the console.
