Help connecting an Xbox 360 to a toshiba smart TV

Hi I’ve just been given an Xbox 360 not sure the exact model but it does have the extra 120gb hard drive attached to the side and the WiFi antenna adaptor. I have all the cables and controllers, I did try to connect to a toshiba smart 4K tv but no luck I
managed to see a thumb nail image on the HDMI 4 port when connecting to the Xbox via a hdmi cable to the Xbox bit see a blank screen when the Xbox is fired up and on I do not see the dash board menu - also I do not know how to connect via WiFi - help please
I’m very much a novice when I do this sort of thing so simple instructions welcome! I googled it and it talks about searching for a video input I was lost at that point!

Netflix connection issues.

It's probably off-topic, but my new Samsung 1080p HD LED Smart 3D TV is having issues connecting to Netflix as well (but my Xbox 360 & PC connects just fine).

On your TV, select source and choose the HDMI port that the console is connected to.

Try connecting to and selecting different ports on your TV with the console and other devices to make sure it`s not a fault with the TV.

If all TV ports are working fine then it must be a fault with the output from the console.

From your description of the console it is an original Xbox 360.

So, when you turn the console on do you get four green lights that go around the power button or are any of them red?

The signal output from the XBOX needs to be connected to HDMI "in" on the Toshiba TV. How many HDMI in ports does the Toshiba TV have? Even better what model Toshiba TV is it?

I tried on an older Toshiba 37 inch, 1080p, 4 hdmi outputs. No luck, is there some setting that smart tvs that older HD tvs dont have? Is there an xbox setting?

Hi Kaissa,

As explained above, keyboard and mouse unfortunately isn’t compatible with Cloud gaming at the moment. There are various controllers that are supported, though.

The wired or wireless connection is handled through your router, not the Samsung Smart TV. Samsung Smart TV has nothing to do with Xbox One. Connect the Xbox One directly to your wireless or wired router, not your Samsung Smart TV.
