Help Choosing an Xbox One Console

I would like to purchase an Xbox One on Black Friday, but I'm not sure which option is the best.

Should I buy the Xbox One Elite console that comes with the Elite controller, or should I buy a normal 500GB console and purchase a 2 TB hard drive separately? Which would be cheaper and more beneficial in the long run?

On that note, is the Elite controller and console actually worth it?

Switch from headset to TV speaker

When you plug a headset into the controller, it doesn't automatically mute the TV speakers. Both audio sources (headset, TV speakers) continue to play. You may have had the TV muted or HDMI/Optical audio disabled while you were using the headset and troubleshooting
your audio.

Id say go with the Elite console if your some one interested in a skuf style controller or are into the idea of making the controller more tuned to your play style. The added benefit it the 1TB hard drive it comes with is slightly faster then the normal
system.

However The other method will give you a lot more space but will take up a usb port for the hard drive.

For me personally I like the idea of the 1TB and that's what I got for myself. I use a lot of things that require my usb ports so its nice to have them clear and open when ever I need. Also the controller is nice a lot more rugged then the normal one and
well I have in the past used skuf controllers and the avenger add on to give me more access to buttons faster.

In my opinion, the Elite is not worth it. Not at $499. The major difference between the Elite and the other consoles is the inclusion of the 1TB solid state drive. Nowadays, you can buy an external USB 3.0 hard drive for an insanely cheap price and they
will be even cheaper on Black Friday. If you can find a good price on a regular Xbox One console this holiday season like on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, I would pull the trigger on that. Then when you do eventually run out of space, buy a cheap external
hard drive.

From what I can see with the Black Friday deals that have already been leaked, most of the Xbox One bundles will be dropping to $299 with some places giving you a gift card with the purchase. Save yourself $200.
