Help chat mixer grayed out

Can you tell me what have you tried so far?

Is your headset working on other devices

Is your controller a first party MS controller, or a third party one?

Are you using any kind of headset adapter?

What kind of headset are you using? Just a regular wired headset plugged directly into the controller's 3.5mm socket?

Has it ever worked with this particular headset/controller combo?

Tried fixing it Thur chat mixer in settings then tried power cycle my Xbox then even fac reset and everything that I saw on other posts

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

If your headset is plugged in through your controller kindly try and check if there is an update by following the steps below:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & streaming > Accessories, and then select the controller you want to update.

2. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.

3. If it says “Update,” select Firmware version, and then follow the steps provided.

If there is none kindly perform a powercycle then check again.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​
