    Hi there, I'm trying to purchase a game, as I have 5.98 euros from my MS points credit account, but everytime I try to buy things, it asks me for a credit card (even though in my account details it shows that I have 2 credit cards registered as well as the
    MS points credit.

    why can't I make purchases?

    Cannot purchase MS points

    Been trying to buy anything from the Marketplace but can't because I can't buy any MS points. What are you trying to purchase? MS Points What error code or message are you receiving? You cannot buy MS points with a credit card (even though I am using PayPal
    as my payment method) use Microsoft Points or try again later What region is your account? Australia What region do you physically connect from? Australia If anyone can help, much appreciated.

    "You Can't Use A Credit Card To Purchase This Item".....

    I just got the Paypal update and went to buy 500 MS Points. After confirming the purchase, I get an error similar to the following:

    "You can't use a credit card to purchase this item. Use Microsoft Points or try again later."

    I'm not trying to use a damn credit card! I'm trying to buy MS Points with my linked Paypal account. How do I fix this bullcrap and why does everything always get released broken?

    Are you trying to make the purchase from xbox.com? If so be advised that xbox.com has not been setup to make transactions using your Microsoft Account.

    no, I'm trying to buy directly from the games store on my xbox one, but it does not even show my credit cards (it asks me to add a new card) does not offer me the option of selecting my already registered credit cards or MS points - yet if I look at my account
    on my pc it shows all of this...

    so what do I do???

    It's all solved now. My currency is euros, but as I live in UK, I just had to turn the console into a 'region' with euros. thanks

    Unfortunately I'm lead to believe you can't buy Back Compat games without using a credit card (you're unable to use MS points)

    No you don't need to. You can buy all the cars with ingame credits. The option to use MS points is for people who want a car but can't wait to earn the credits.

    You can also buy a MS Points Prepaid card from your local store if you can't use your credit card

    I can now buy MS Points with Paypal. So it looks like MS has fixed up the issues with Paypal and maybe with credit cards (I can't check this though as I do not own a credit card) as well.
