Help!! All of my apps are closing instantly

When restarting your Xbox do you also unplug the power cable for a few minutes? If you haven't, go ahead and do a

hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and
turn on the Xbox.

If that doesn't help then you will need to try a
soft factory reset, but make sure you have your account login information since you will need to re-add your account during set up.

I have my Elgato plugged in at all times, and that was what was causing this issue for me. I closed the capturing program and it started working instantly. Thank you everyone!

Thanks for all the feedback, KenH2k4 in my case closing apps does not help, only the power cycle.

UPDATE: Backed up all my games/apps to an external hard drive and did a factory reset. Instantly fixed both issues for me, and opened up my NAT as well. Hopefully this will be of some help to someone with the same problems I had.
