The backwards compatibility program has ended and no new games will be added. All games that are technologically and legally able to be added have been so

The licenses on this game expired many years ago and EA will almost certainly not be renewing them. any game that is based on another intellectual property like movies, music, sports, etc. only by the licenses for a few years and when they expire typically they are rarely renewed

it has nothing to do with being lazy, it comes from the fact that they will never see the millions and millions of dollars back that it would cost them to renew these licenses. With the college games they will have to negotiate with every single individual player, individually as they are no longer covered under the blanket and in fact there's been several court cases about that. The legal fees alone will crush any ability to make any profit

There's not enough interest in playing these games to justify the cost, when they could just put that money into a modern college basketball game that could.
