Help accessing saved game progress

I had an nhl 2017 disc that stopped working on my console. I was half way through a season in the game. I ended up buying a new disc of the same game as the old disc stopped working. Now after using the new disc I am not able to access my old saved season. Could anyone tell me if it is possible to load the old saved season and play with the new disc?

What exactly is your Xbox console model?
When was the last time you had access to your game's old progress? Did you play on the same console?

If you're using the same account to play the game before and now, your progress should be synchronized from the cloud.

Try to clear your game's local data to resync its data from the cloud.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select My games & apps > See all > Games.
Highlight the game title, and then press the Menu button on your controller.
Select Manage game and add-ons > Saved data.
Select Delete all to remove the local save of this game, then follow the prompts.
After you delete the local save, restart your Xbox:
Press and hold the Xbox button in the centre of your controller.
Select Restart console, then follow the prompts.

You can only be able to access your progress from the home PC only if the progress has been saved on cloud. If not, then you will have to access the home PC and sync your game progress to the cloud storage.

No, there is no way to access this.

Game progress must be saved to the cloud or at least saved to EA servers and linked to your EA profile. If that didn't happen it wouldn't be possible to continue the progress on another console.

I believe if the game progress/game is saved to the Cloud then you will be able to access that from Windows 10. Assuming the game you are trying to play is saved to the cloud.

Hello Feral, the saves progress of the games are small file, and are saved directly in the Microsoft cloud in your account.

Any save from which game can be accessed by the following path.

Go to games, select the game you want and hit the "Menu" button of the Xbox controller will appear a small "Menu" and choose "Manage Games and Add-ins" on the next page will have access to the game saves.
