    Help - 360 Freezing on streaming video


    I'm having trouble streaming most videos - HBO GO , Netflix, Amazon Video. The loading circle appears and then everything completely freezes (unable to go to home screen). On Netflix, I'm able to actually stream a show, but in the main menu section no art
    work or icons show up, just some of the text (eg "Watch Season 1 Now" on a black screen).

    My internet connection is fine (fios), XBL connections have been tested - 25mbs upload, 55 down, 0 packet loss. I've deleted the hbo and amazon video apps and reinstalled, same problem. I can play dvds fine, so I'm thinking its a streaming/system issue.
    I also tried transferring all of my HDD data to a USB stick, then with only the HDD plugged in - download my profile and netflix app, still received same problem.

    If anyone has any ideas on what the problem is or possible solution, I would appreciate any help.

    Movies about to be taken off Xbox video?

    I was using Xbox video on my Surface the other day and noticed that both Thor and Captain America are going to be taken off of Xbox Video soon. I purchased both of these(HD) on my Xbox 360, however, I traded in my 360 when I got my Xbox One. I cannot
    D/L these on the Xbox One and the files are too large to D/L onto my Surface. So do I just hope they appear again on Xbox Video for streaming or is there something I am missing? Also, I cannot access any of the content that I purchased on Xbox Video before
    Xbox Video offered streaming service. Anything in my library that was purchased before streaming asks me to pay again. Thanks for any help.

    Netflix has finally been updated

    When I try to snap the new Netflix while I'm playing a game the netflix stream freezes. The sound still plays but the video freezes. Anyone else having this problem??

    With so many changes with windows several older windows apps have become obsolete that are compatible with the 360 systems.

    Thank you for the reply.

    Yes, I can confirm it is just me playing remotely when the video stream freezes.

    This also causes the video stream to the local tv that the Xbox is plugged into, to break. I only try this after the remote play stream has cut out, not at the same time. After remotely freezes, the only way to use the Xbox again is to turn the main power on and off again.

    • Was there anything changed in your network or an update or something that you can think of that may have been a catalyst for this?
    • Where are you streaming your videos from?
    • Are you able to stream other file types without getting this issue?
