Hello, my xbox live name account have been changed.

Hello, I just recently spent 10 dollars for a new xbox live gamertag. Last night it's changed into something I don't want and I didn't get a option to change the name myself.

My name is Vagine Prabjhot and I just changed my Xbox LIVE account name yesterday. I believe my name has been reported and my account name now changed. I just paid $9.99CAD + tax. Why my account name has been changed is unknown to me. I did not read in
the Xbox LIVE rules that you can not use your name in your gamertag.

How to Change your Xbox LIVE account information

Overview

It is possible to change information associated with your Xbox LIVE account like your name, address, phone number or email address.

Note: You cannot change the country that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account. If you have moved to another country and you would like to access Xbox LIVE from there, you have to create a new Xbox LIVE account in your new location.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account and Sign In with your Microsoft Account. (This is the email and password that is associated with your Xbox LIVE account).

2) Make the changes you want to your billings account information and then click Save.

How to Change your name, address, phone number or email on your console.

1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

2) Proceed to Settings, and then select Account.

3) Select Your Information, and then go to Billing Information.

4) Sign In with your Microsoft account password.

5) Change your billing account information and then click Done.

In case you want to change the billing name on your Xbox LIVE account, go to Xbox.com

• Do you have anyone else that uses the account in your household?
• Was the previous gamertag assigned to the account offensive or violate the Code Of Conduct?
  
• Did you get any email from Microsoft or Xbox about your account's gamertag or profile?
  
• Does anyone else have access to your account or information? (Friends, family, etc.)

saying booty is a bad word? I guess. But can I at least change it back to my old one since I had last year. Because I spent my money for no reason with a name I don't want.

 

It does appear that the new name you chose was given a forced name change. There are no free name changes given. If you want a new name, you have no choice but to pay the fee. It makes no difference how long ago you changed it, when you changed it to a name
that violated the COC or TOU it must have been reported and the system chose a new name for you. Please be aware that if you get too many forced name changes you could receive a ban on the account.

It may seem unfair right now, but all gamertags that are reported or are seen by any Enforcement Staff, or judged by Enforcement United members get suspended or have their name changed. They review all gamertags that are reported. You are
not the only person who's gamertag was changed forcefully. Any word or gamertag that contains hate or profanity is against the CoC. This is not the time or situation that you should blame other people that have bad names as they will be dealt with in the near
future. So please, calm down, think about the situation, understand why we cannot just give away name changes, and especially read the Coc on this matter. I am sorry that this has happened to you, but you will have to just pay the fee for a new gamertag. We're
