They do but that not the issue

With any device you must have support

Non made for Xbox or ps headsets don't work with consoles because of the security protocols you have to ask your manufacturer to make one.

Or do what everyone does and buy compatible accessories which are easy to find MADE FOR x consoles of your choice

USB head sets have a specific compatibility if they don't follow Xbox protocol it's not a Xbox issue

It's the way the manufacturer doesn't use the correct drivers this is why consokes are more streamlined rather then having to install this and that

All consoles have a security and driver process you need a compatible headset

If you wait for brooklin however full Bluetooth compatibility is coming

The xbox one supports Microsoft's usb products such as mics and headsets so it could use what ever headset the PC and ps4 use but they don't. Why is that??

The Turtle Beach Stream Mic works with the Xbox One by USB.

Other mics may work but most don't.

The Dashboard team added support for third party USB webcams so that is why you are finding that they work whereas the same is not true for USB microphones except for maybe the Xbox specific branded USB mic.

We have two of the Xbox One headsets and both seem to work well. May I suggest double checking
Mic monitoring levels. As you may have already seen, when the headset is plugged into the controller the Xbox automatically recognize it and makes Headset mic Off/On, Headset volume, Headset chat volume and Mic monitoring available right at

As far as USB headset support, I'm not sure. But, from what I am seeing I don't think USB headset is supported on the Xbox One at this time, see "USB
