Hello, I am facing problem to redeem a prepaid code of Xbox Live ... Says the code is invalid

I do not understand what happened ...
why the code is new, and has not been
used yet ...

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

I purchased Xbox live gold code 12+1 for my Xbox 360 but when I try redeem the code it say(on xbox.com site):

Something went wrong

XBOS1005

I tried redeem code directly on Xbox and it says that code is invalid. What's wrong?

 

Where did you purchase the code from? Was it online? Was it from a local store?

If it was online, which website and which country do you live in? If it was from a local store try taking it back as it may not have been activated at the register.

 

You type it in your console or at xbox.com? When I use to buy prepaid cards off of amazon I tried to cut and past the code into xbox.com redeem code. Never worked. Always had to type it in manually on xbox console for some reason. Hope this helps. Or
maybe you had a typo?

 

I tried to do by two and the same error occurs

 

Buy the card from the wrong region? I know when I had my clan chip in for my BF3 rented servers. Friend in Europe sent me code for MS points from Europe. I couldn't redeem them. Had to give them back.

Did you buy the code online, or from a store?

If you bought it from a store, please follow Onyx's instructions and take it back.

If you bought it Online, you may have bought it for the wrong region, like what has been said above. You should contact the person in which you bought it from, or the company that sold you the codes and ask them to refund it, or give you a new code for your
region.
