Lets try removing and re-adding your account to the console.

Go to settings then account and under account there should be remove account(s) lets remove your account then re-add it hopefully it'll resolve itself from there.

I have 50 friends in my list. Two months ago I had 78. Real friends stay in touch and game with you atleast once a month. So my rule of thumb is if I haven't gamed with anyone on my list within the last 30 days they get removed.
The only exception to that rule is family. I think the 100 friend limit is just fine, but that is just my opinion.

Heck, there are a few of my friends I don't really want to talk to either. Some of them have been on my list too long though and I can't seem to bring myself to delete them. Tried to delete one a month ago, two days later he send a friend request. Sigh.

Definitely agree with you on this champ =D

Yes I connected to my mobile hotspot just now and the issue persists. I also took it to a friends house two days ago and connected to his network and I was having the same problem still.
